MCO & COVID-19
Dear minna-san,
I apologized for not posting as frequent as I should.
The whole of Malaysia are now under is under MCO or RMO due to Covid-19 since and so is everywhere around the world. At my district, Papar Hospital has become quarantIne centre. Severe Covid cases will be sent to KK hospital.
I have been working from home for 6 days since Friday last week and experiencing heavy internet congestion due to everyone is working from home as well students doing online classes and not forgetting those who are streaming (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon) watching movies. Because of that, I'm experiencing emails in Outbox which unable to be sent out and system login & system slow-loading.
The RMO started on the 18th March which was supposed to end on the 31st March but now it has been extended to 14th of April. There some stuborn people who still defy the Government by not cooperating to adhere the RMO. Rodblock is happening everywhere, point to point and district to district. I have experienced the roadblocks. Twice on Saturday last week.i have to drive mum to QEH 2 to pickup dad's heart and diabetic medications which is crucial and important for him. First roadblock was in Lok Kawi. When it comes to our turn, we were questioned where and reasons to drive to KK, told him appointment at hospital was postponed to year end but the medications has to be picked up on that day. He lets us pass and we reach 2nd roadblock where mom shows the medications list sheets and the nice policeman allow us to pass through. I told mum, I am never coming down to KK unless I have to. But due to the stubborness of some people, the Govt has appointed the military assitance to work with the police force on roadblock checks.
I have mad respect to all the frontliners, the doctors and nurses who works hard in the hospital. Salute to all of the frontliners.
To some stubborn Malaysians, you should be grateful you can still go out and about to do grocceries shopping to stock up. This is only Restricted Movement Operation. If it was a total lockdon with curfew, you are not even allowed to be stepping out of your home at all. Please listen and just stay at home. You are just being selfish and ignorant on the severity of this virus.
So, please stay at home and lets be united during this very rough time. Take care & stay safe minna-san.
